Cariloha Friday! And a blessed weekend to salute, serve, praise and love our mothers. Where would we be without the many mothers who have tutored, trained, and loved us throughout our lives. We owe them a debt of gratitude, and, in my opinion, honoring them once a year is not nearly enough. If you haven’t tracked down a respectable Mother’s Day gift just yet, you may want to consider doing a bit of service for your mom, or someone who has been a mom to you, along with your grandmother, and the mother of your children. Do some yard work, house work, or clean out the garage. Then, leave a heartfelt card on her dresser. Dig down deep, get creative and find a way to show your love and appreciation. Hooray for moms!
As you begin to test the weekend waters, be sure to get your Cariloha style on, and maybe help your mom to do the same with a new bamboo shirt or a new set of bamboo sheets. Sort of a shameless plug, but a good idea nonetheless.
Let’s get started. Eat what you want while putting together a jigsaw puzzle and watching reruns of the Twilight Zone (today), then, consider visiting a local aviary to look at the birds and try to talk in limerick all day long (tomorrow), next, treat your mother to a delicious brunch, lunch or dinner and shower her with praise and love (Sunday), finally, dance like a chicken, spread on the Marshmallow Fluff, and go crazy. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!
However you approach your Mother’s Day weekend, make it a memorable time and don’t forget to wrap up in your Cariloha bamboo-soft clothing, sheets or towels every day.
