This month we’re going to focus on some products that are not only green and good for the environment, but just great products in general as well.
Cariloha Bamboo Beach Bag It was only a few months ago I was down in the Caribbean enjoying the heat and the sun. It was during the trip, and one a couple years ago I first was introduced to Cariloha. They focus on products made out of sustainable materials – more specifically Bamboo. You can find everything at their tropical and coastal locations from clothing, accessories, bedding, towels and even socks. Cariloha sent me a few items to feature for Earth Day, including their new Makena Beach Bag.
Why Bamboo? Bamboo is one of the quickest renewable resources out there. You can grow, use and re-grow bamboo shoots in matter of a couple years. Traditional wood products take decades for the type of growth that a bamboo grove can do in a matter of a year or two. But besides the renew-ability of bamboo, when turned into thread, the resulting fabric is extremely soft and sturdy.
