Cariloha Bamboo sheets and towels continue to attract customers seeking the best in naturally luxurious linens. Not only are they softer than other natural and synthetic fabrics, but they also keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer thanks to bamboo’s inherent thermal-regulating properties. They’re extremely helpful for people who suffer from night sweats, skin irritations or sensitivities. If that wasn’t enough, bamboo sheets and towels are odor resistant and good for the environment, too. But, don’t take our word for it…

Luxurious Linens from Cariloha Bamboo
By Viva Veltoro
These are premium sheets and luxurious towels, and the secret is in the key material: bamboo. Because I studied textiles in college, a fabric made from a plant completely makes sense to me, since cotton comes from cotton plants and linen comes from flax, but my husband still can’t grasp how this soft material comes from a stick, he says. I think he still envisions those oriental bamboo hats or pandas eating bamboo canes, but bamboo is actually a grass.
Just in recent years, bamboo is now being processed to be usable as a (very green!) fiber that can be made into yarn. Knowing that this is a plant-sourced natural material (vs. something man-made/synthetic like polyester or lycra) makes you appreciate the texture. The hand is not fuzzy like fleece or minky, or even very silky like real silk, but more like a very smooth, combed cotton. Bamboo is claimed to be twice as soft as cotton, and it’s easy to tell a difference, straight out of the packaging. These sheets are softer than soft and your skin really glides across it. That’s the feeling of a greater-than-1,000 thread count!
Now take a look at these bath sheets. These towels are made from a blend of 50% bamboo and 50% Turkish-combed cotton, probably to make the towels strong enough to withstand getting wet repeatedly. Just like the sheets, they are softer than soft, but also the perfect thickness to be plush without weighing so much that you feel like you’re throwing a tarp over yourself.
There’s a reason why these are called bath SHEETS instead of bath TOWELS. They’re huge! They measure 40” x 70”, which far exceeds my height!
