Communication is vital in our everyday life and, whether it’s good news or bad news, what you choose to wear is also considered a silent communicator to everyone who sees you.
We’re not saying that your clothing defines who you are as a person, but it reflects your personality. What you choose to wear says a lot to the people around you and can affect the way you act and feel throughout the day.
For example, have you ever looked in the mirror and thought to yourself, “I look good.” Yes! Everyone has good hair days or an outfit that they know fits them well. And, most likely you’re happier and more confident on those days when you know you look good.
Every day and occasion calls for a different outfit. So, whether you’re a fashionista or you couldn’t care less about what colors and patterns you throw together, here are a few situations that might make you think twice about what you’re going to wear.
The Office – Every place of business has a dress code, whether it’s spoken or not. At the work place, you should always keep it clean and professional, because what you wear can impact how successful you’ll be. It’s not likely you’ll get a promotion, if you look like you rolled out of bed and came to work.
Job Interview – Figuring out what to wear to a job interview can be solved by doing a little research on the company you’re interviewing for. If you really want to leave an impression, than dress like you know what you’re talking about.
A Date – Dating is already awkward enough, especially first dates, but you still want to dress to impress. Leave the T-shirts in the drawer and bust out the collared shirts and blouses. You’ll look nice without over or under doing it, and, better still, you’ll feel confident and happy as well.
While different events call for a change in wardrobe, what really matters at the end of the day is how what you’re wearing makes you feel.
