The Best Luxury Bathrobes of 2025, Tested and Reviewed
By Alesandra Dubin
These editor-tested picks are the best for all seasons and body types.
As a travel writer, I spend a lot of time in luxury hotels—and I love nothing more than snuggling up in a high-quality hotel robe to begin or end a long day at my destination.
On the flip side, when I’m not traveling, I work from home—often in my robe and pajamas, propped up on my hotel-style pillows. (No, this is not an ergonomic method you should try at home.) All this to say: I have strong feelings about how a robe should feel and fit.
I poured that passion into this roundup of the best luxury robes, all backed up by data from T+L editors’ thorough testing of 39 products over six months.
We tested for quality, comfort, design, and fit—and determined the best overall robe to be the Four Seasons spa robe. (This result comes as little surprise to me, a deeply devoted fan of the brand and repeat visitor to properties across continents.)

Best Quick-drying
Cariloha Bamboo Bathrobe
Why We Love It
- This robe is absorbent, lightweight, and quick-drying—perfect for using straight out of the shower to dry off.
What to Consider
- This robe only comes in two sizes, and even the larger size wouldn’t fit all bodies.
This low-maintenance bamboo robe is highly absorbent and quick-drying, making it an excellent alternative to a towel after a shower. Lightweight and breathable, it dries much faster than thick cotton robes, so it’s suitable for year-round use (though not ideal for winter lounging).
This robe is available in only two sizes and colors; size up for a roomier fit (and note that even the larger size may not accommodate all body types).
After multiple washes, the robe remains in good condition despite exposure to harsh detergents. (However, the bright white color did show some makeup stains and discoloration, so you might be inclined to choose the dark color instead.)
The Details: S/M to L/XL | Viscose from bamboo, Egyptian cotton, micropolyester, polyester | Machine washable
