When I think of bamboo, I typically think of it as snack food for a panda. But, did you know that bamboo can also be made into an excellent eco-friendly fabric?
Cariloha Bamboo is a company that embraces the ‘Island Mentality’. They know that everyone wants to be able to relax and enjoy the cool and comfort of a nice Island breeze. That is what inspired the incredibly soft bamboo blend that makes up their clothing, bedding and bath goods.
Not only is the fabric from Cariloha some of the softest, it is also one of the coolest. The hypoallergenic fabric used in Cariloha clothing run 3 degrees cooler than cotton AND it wicks moisture away from your body. I tend to run a bit hotter than most people, so this fabric is great news! The feel of the fabric is very much like cotton, though it does have a bit less give. Also wonderful is that you don’t have to do anything special to keep it clean! Just machine wash it on cold with the rest of your clothes.
Of course, if bamboo is a great product to use in fabric, that means it’s great for blankets, too! The Bamboo Throw from Cariloha features a plush pile fabric on one side and quilt batting in the interior, giving it a nice weight and extreme softness. As an added bonus, they are hypoallergenic, making these great for absolutely everyone!
