Cariloha Friday! It’s a marvelous weekend for watching sports, harvesting fruits and vegetables, and celebrating the legacy and heritage of your grandparents. My favorite season of the year is autumn – I’d take six or seven months of October if I could. The crisp fall weather washes over your senses and reminds you of afternoon football games and playoff baseball games. Canning peaches, pears, apples and tomatoes in the kitchen with mom is a wonderful memory and pastime for me. Let the trees change their gown as leaves fall to the ground.
As you venture out this beautiful weekend, be sure to get your Cariloha style on, letting it inspire your natural personality to do something new for a change. Watch a ballgame with a friend and share new ideas with a neighbor.
Salute your faithful postal worker and watch some sports on ESPN (today), then, fight procrastination, get up and do something for your aunt to the tune of Monster Mash (tomorrow), next, hug and kiss your grandparents if they’re still living or remember them in an old photo album if they’re deceased (Sunday), finally, swap a few ideas with a trusted friend and try your hand at the sewing machine (Monday). Have a Grandparent’s Day!
However you choose to approach your weekend, make it a memorable time and don’t forget to wrap up in your Cariloha bamboo-soft clothing, sheets or towels every day.
