Cariloha ranks no. 2,021 out of 5,000 companies on the 2015 Inc. 500|5000 with three-year sales growth of 195%.
Cariloha, international retail brand specializing in bamboo-based apparel, accessories, bedding, and bath goods, announced its ranking at no. 2021 on Inc. Magazine’s ninth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
“For the 4th time, Cariloha has made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America,” said Eric Schurenberg, Inc. Magazine President and Editor-in-Chief. “Only a tiny fraction of the nation’s companies have demonstrated such remarkably consistent high growth, particularly in the difficult economic environment of the past few years. This achievement puts you in rarefied company.”
Cariloha received additional recognition as one of the top 50 companies in the Salt Lake City metro area overall and has added 198 jobs over the past three years. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy — America’s independent entrepreneurs.
“At Cariloha, we offer soft, cool, clean and green products. It’s exactly what customers are craving today and in the years to come. They don’t just want a product, they want to make a difference in the world. Cariloha is doing just that, and being on the Inc. 500|5000 list drives us to continue expanding our bamboo product line and our reach across the globe,” said Jefferson G. Pedersen, Founder and CEO of Cariloha. “We’re changing the world one Cariloha Bamboo product at a time. Bamboo is the most sustainable resource on the planet, and all our products are made of viscose from bamboo. It’s a comfy way to save the world.”
“This year’s Inc. 500 achieved a median growth rate of 1,772 percent,” said Leigh Buchanan, Editor-at-large, Inc. magazine. “And these companies don’t merely reflect the economy. They also contribute to it, having collectively created 57,822 jobs. Most of the founders with companies on this list had the right idea at the right time.”

Methodology
The 2013 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2011 to 2014. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2010. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2014. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2010 is $100,000; the minimum for 2014 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at www.inc.com/500.
