This week, Cariloha joined Tony Finau (top 20 world-ranked PGA pro golfer), the Tony Finau Foundation, and the Professional Golf Association (PGA) to donate a much-needed monetary and in-kind donation of bedding, bath, and clothing items directly to Maui County’s Maui Nui Strong project.
Cariloha CEO Jeff Pedersen was on location in Maui with the Finau, Summerhays, and Ofahengaue families (pictured above) at the Kapalua Finau Invitational to present this donation directly to the Maui Nui Strong / GEM Director of Operations, Greg Shepherd.
Since the devastating Maui fires happened in August, we’ve been working for months, receiving donations from Cariloha’s Bamboo Nation, gathering product needs, and coordinating with Maui County and Maui Nui Strong to carry out this meaningful donation.
We were fortunate to partner with the Finau Foundation, who shares the same values that Cariloha embodies, to make the biggest, most-direct impact possible among our local Maui community.
We wanted to work directly with Maui County and their Maui Nui Strong project (operated by GEM), as they’re able to provide vital community resources by connecting residents and businesses like Cariloha to help those who are most in need.
Cariloha has been operating locally in Maui for over 15 years now, and we’re very grateful to work with like-minded people and organizations to continue giving back to the places and communities we call home.
MAHALO to all involved at Maui County & Maui Nui Strong, along with the Tony Finau Foundation, the PGA, and the Cariloha Team!
