Cariloha this week opened its newest store on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts under store owner Panchito Morales who also owns Cariloha stores in Antigua; Roatan, Honduras; Turks & Caicos and Belize. Cariloha is the only retailer on the island selling exclusively clothing, bedding and bath goods made from bamboo.
The Cariloha store is located in a recently renovated retail space within the cruise ship terminal shopping center only a minute’s walk from the cruise ships. The store is managed and staffed by local employees and is open to cruise passengers and local clientele. The new store is approximately 800 square feet and is located in the same shopping center as its sister brand, Del Sol, which is a separate retailer selling clothing and accessories that change colors with sunlight.
Cariloha has been rapidly expanding its international and domestic presence for the past six years now with 14 corporately owned and 34 independently owned stores in 14 countries. Cariloha stores are found in Mexico, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Barbados, Aruba, Curacao, Honduras, St. Maarten, Bahamas, Antigua, Bonaire and various cities throughout the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii.
Additional Cariloha store openings are planned in late November and December 2014 and quarter one of 2015 in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Houston, and many more. Independently owned Cariloha stores are operated by licensed, contracted partners of Cariloha, LLC.
All Cariloha store guests receive a free bamboo lei (necklace) just for stopping by the store, which helps proliferate the bamboo, eco-friendly attitude even more. Cariloha staffers encourage visitors to touch and feel the bamboo-soft difference of their shirts, bed sheets, towels, and hand bags for themselves.
Located in the Eastern Caribbean about 1,200 miles from Miami, this small island is intoxicatingly beautiful. Its sunny skies, warm waters, and white sandy beaches combine to make St. Kitts one of the most attractive islands in the Caribbean. Christopher Columbus first spotted St. Kitts in 1493, when it was populated with native tribes, but the Europeans didn’t colonize until the British arrived in 1623.
Welcome aboard to the Cariloha St. Kitts Teams!
