Cariloha teamed up with long-time nonprofit partner, Mauli Ola Foundation, to give comfort and support, by way of bamboo bedding and bath goods, to heroic nurses and doctors who are working tirelessly to care for so many people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the past decade, the Mauli Ola Foundation has organized ‘Surf Days’ with professional surfers and ‘Hospital Days’ with medical staff across the United States to help children battling genetic disorders. The ocean saline water, on the Surf Days (pictured below), provides natural therapy, particularly for kids with Cystic Fibrosis.
As part of our Care and Comfort for Cariloha Communities, Cariloha wanted to give back to these same healthcare workers that we’ve been working with over the years in coordination with Mauli Ola.
Each Cariloha donation of bamboo bedding and bath goods has gone to specific hospitals in San Diego (pictured at top), Los Angeles, and various hospitals in Orange County, California.
All donations included a note to each healthcare worker, saying, “We appreciate all they do to keep us safe, especially in these trying times. It’s our honor to provide some items of comfort to you heroes who have put others in front of your own needs. Much Love and Aloha.”

As we witness and experience so many unprecedented hardships at this time, the Cariloha team will continue striving to help soften the blow from this pandemic in the lives of healthcare workers, caregivers, and employees of essential businesses who are working on the front lines every day.
We’re continuing to work closely with our global distribution partners to provide Cariloha blankets, bed sheets, pillows, and more to communities and individuals who have been hit the hardest by the devastating impact of COVID-19.
