Cariloha Bamboo Sheets and Clothing Review

You probably remember my recent review giveaway I had for Cariloha Bamboo Clothing…I told you how I first found out about bamboo sheets about six years ago and became fascinated with the softness and breathability of the sheets…since then both my husband and I have become huge fans of bamboo sheets…. So, what makes bamboo so special?
It is said to be the new cotton, since it shares many of the same properties and offers a few additional advantages. It is more anti-bacterial than other fabrics, which are very absorbent, causing them to hold dampness in. Because bamboo wicks moisture away, it’s great for your circulation and skin, preventing over-heating or chills from trapped-in moisture…. It’s probably one of the softest fabrics I have tried so far.
I also mentioned that during our last Caribbean cruise, we discovered Cariloha. Caribbean style and Hawaiian aloha were the inspiration behind Cariloha – a combination of the two words. With more than 20 years vacationing, working and serving in the Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands and the cruise ship ports throughout the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexican Riviera and Bahamas, the Cariloha team became steeped in the culture and lifestyle of the islands and the beachfront shopping experience… Cariloha offers a selection of clothing, accessories and of course bedding and bathing products for the entire family’s enjoyment. After trying the Cariloha clothing, I was given the opportunity to try some of their sheets and that of course was not something that I was going to pass on.
These bamboo sheets give me the feeling of a cross between 1,000-thread-count cotton and silk. They are super soft, cool, but not slippery like silk is. Having these on your bed gives you a luxurious feeling rather like when you are in a very high-end hotel’s bedding.
Sleeping on a set of bamboo sheets is complete luxury…the bamboo sheets without a doubt for me are one of the most pleasant and comfortable materials you will be able to find. And so far, that applies to any clothing item I have come across.
Cariloha offers bed sheets in five different colors with their prices starting at 99.00 for the twin size set and goes up to 199.00 for the king size set. One thing you will find on these sheets is that the softness of the material is not the only advantage as the quality on the sheet on both craftsmanship and the materials used is top notch!
The Cariloha bamboo sheets do not need any special care; they are machine wash cold, tumble dry on low heat. You do want to remove them from the dryer as soon as they are done to prevent them from wrinkling. Cariloha sheet sets are made with 100% Viscose from Bamboo and are hypoallergenic. The set includes: 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, and 2 pillowcases (1 pillowcase in twin sheet set).
To my husband’s delight, I was also given the opportunity to try one of their Bamboo Jacquard short sleeve Polo shirts that we received in Dusk Blue (they are offered in different colors). As expected, the polo is also made with high-quality materials and features an extra soft and breathable material that is obtained from bamboo fibers. These polos are part of the Cariloha golf clothing and since DH is an avid golfer, these polos were a great fit for him, even though I must say that the polos are stylish and comfortable, so you do not need to be a golfer to appreciate and enjoy them. They also help repel UV rays, regulate body temperature and wick away moisture, helping you to stay dry and cool all day long which, as I say, is nice for anyone living in a warm climate like we do here in South Florida.
The polos are made of 100% polyester from bamboo and features a UPF rating of 50 (a piece of clothing with a UPF blocks 49/50ths or 98% of the UV radiation). The polo also features double-needle stitching throughout, self-fabric collar, 3-button placket, dyed-to-match buttons, open hem sleeves, and side vents. This specific polo is available in either red or blue and in sizes S – 2XL and runs very true to size. The retail price on the Cariloha Bamboo Jacquard Polo is 55.00.
