The 9 Best Sheet Sets You Can Get at Target, Tested by BHG
By Kathleen Felton
Durable and comfortable sets that’ll have you hitting the snooze button.
A good set of sheets can transform your bedroom, the quality of your sleep, and your overall mood as a result. But finding the right bed sheets for you isn’t always so straightforward, especially since people have vastly different preferences when it comes to the fabrics they sleep on, says Saana Baker, a textile expert with 25 years of experience and the editor-in-chief at The Textile Eye.
Knowing your own tastes is the most important thing before you shop, Baker says. “You’re the one who’s going to be sleeping in these sheets,” she says. “Do you prefer percale or sateen? Do you like silky or crispy fabrics? All of these things are going to lead you to make a decision that you’ll be happy with.”
Luckily, finding accessible bed sheets in a range of weaves and fabrics—like eucalyptus, hemp, flannel, and more—is easier than ever, including at retailers like Target. To find the best bed sheets at Target, we tested several picks at our Des Moines, Iowa testing lab and at home.
Each set of bed sheets was evaluated in five categories: quality, texture, durability, and breathability. We also consulted Baker for additional insight on what to look for in a set of sheets.
What We Tested
We evaluated several sets of bed sheets on Target based on their quality, texture, durability, and breathability. For more information on how we tested Target bed sheets, check out our testing process below.

Cariloha Retreat Bamboo Sheets
Why You Should Get It
- These bamboo sheets are soft, cooling, and wrinkle-resistant.
Keep in Mind
- They’re not offered in a twin size.
We think the Cariloha Retreat Bamboo Sheets are a particularly good investment for hot sleepers. During testing, these lovely bamboo sheets proved to be soft, comfortable, and very cooling.
Made of 100% bamboo lyocell with a sateen finish, these Cariloha sheets have a lovely hand feel and are quite comfortable to sleep on.
As hot sleepers, we were impressed by the cool, silky-feeling fabric that prevented them from becoming overheated on warmer nights. These sheets fit great, too. The elastic band on the fitted sheet is secure and stays in place tightly.
After being washed, these sheets retained their luxurious look and feel and didn’t develop any visible wear and tear. Unlike many other sheets, they also don’t wrinkle easily, which is a nice plus.
Overall, we had few complaints about these luxe sheets. While the price is higher, the set does include a top sheet, which isn’t always the case even with more affordable sheet sets. But they’re only available in size queen and up (though it’s nice that you can get either a king, split king, or California king size, some of which are harder to find).
Product Details: Sizes: Queen, king, split king, and California king | Pocket size: 18 inches | Material: Bamboo lyocell | Certifications: OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Certified B Corp
