We’re pulling back the bamboo curtain to reveal the key pieces and players ‘behind the seams’ of our soft, sustainable bedding, bath, and apparel, as guided today by creative content director, Corinne L.
We had the great pleasure of sitting down with Corinne to delve deeper into what inspires her to create long-lasting, memorable content that evokes the true essence of the Cariloha brand.
Question: Where does your inspiration come from when designing and creating?
Answer: My inspiration comes from the world around me. Everyone is so unique, and I love seeing how others bring together different trends and styles in their own homes.
Question: What are different bedroom or bed design looks that are catching your interest these days?
Answer: I love light, coastal-vibe bedrooms with neutral colors and various textures. I think these elements bring a calming feel to a room. As for bed design, it’s all about making it as comfy as possible #cloudbed. Our bamboo fabrics definitely help make that happen.
Question: What do you like most about Cariloha products?
Answer: The softness! I love how incredibly soft everything is. Every time I see someone feel a Cariloha product for the first time, they’re always amazed at how soft it is. It makes me feel like a magician at photo shoots when people feel our products for the first time, and they’re immediately obsessed and want to take everything home.
Question: What’s your go-to Cariloha product?
Answer: I obviously can’t have just one, I have a couple I can’t live without. Our Crew Socks are a definite yes to wear every day, and our High-Loft Comforter and Retreat Sheets are the perfect combination for the best sleep of your life.
Question: What do you wish customers knew about the softness and sustainability of Cariloha products – or anything in general about our products?
Answer: They really are that soft. Also, Cariloha’s sustainability runs deeper than just using sustainable materials, we’re a Certified B-Corp, so we try for sustainability in all facets of our business, as well as the processes of how we grow, harvest, and transform bamboo to a soft, sustainable fabric. Cariloha as a whole is more sustainable than just the end product.
Question: Why do you design the way you do?
Answer: I love coming up with new, creative ideas and figuring out how to implement them to fit the Cariloha brand and aesthetic. Showing product functionality is one thing, but evoking emotional connections through our products makes all the difference. So, for me, it’s more than just what looks good, it’s about how it feels within a campaign or on social media, our website, etc.

And, when Corinne’s not at a photoshoot in one of our island showroom locations, she loves playing with her dogs, going to pilates, traveling, and sleeping.
