Cariloha recently joined the Drew Barrymore Show to support nonprofit Well Cloth’d with a heartfelt donation that will go directly to in-need individuals in their communities.
Well Cloth’d was started by two best friends from Brooklyn, NY, Jenne and Leetah, who have always been involved with volunteering and giving back since they were kids – from cleaning up the park to working at soup kitchens and food pantries and various things through their church.
In August 2017, Well Cloth’d held their first event – 75 people came. Since then, they now hold quarterly/by season pop-ups, with 200-300 people attending, for those in need, distributing clothing, accessories, toiletries, toys, and baby items.
In 2020, the Well Cloth’d team expanded by adding another lifelong friend, Maya Shelton, as the Director of Partnerships.
They’re 100% donation based, and they mostly receive donations from the community and people they know. Cariloha was grateful to further bolster their efforts by donating much-needed clothing and bath goods.
They also send care packages where people can go to Well Cloth’d and fill out a form and send things out (hundreds) – or if an organization reached out and wants a pop-up they jump in.
As a Cariloha team, we’re very grateful that we were able to join Drew Barrymore in supporting and giving back to those are who making a difference in their communities.
The Well Cloth’d team sent us the kindest ‘thank you’, and the feeing is mutual – helping and lifting wherever we can, in big ways and small, is a daily decision that we can all make and follow through on. One day at a time, one effort at a time, caring and giving will make positive differences.
