Ultra runner and Miles2Give founder, Landon Cooper, will be greeting guests and talking about his 3,000-mile run across the United States for cancer research at the Cariloha Pier 39 San Francisco store February 12 from 1 – 2 p.m. Cariloha is hosting his appearance at the store and is also the chief clothing sponsor for Landon’s run across the United States beginning February 14.
Cooper, 33, is originally from Birmingham, Alabama but has been training in Orem, Utah for the past several months. He begins his arduous run on February 14, 2013 at the Golden Gate Bridge and runs 150 days straight, averaging about 21 miles a day, to reach the White House in Washington D.C. on July 4. The total distance from Ocean Beach, San Francisco to Ocean City, Maryland is about 3,000 miles.
During the journey, Cooper will be looking to raise at least $100,000 for Miles 2 Give, which was founded in memory of his friend Ashley Davis, who died in 2011 at the age of 23 after battling Ewing’s sarcoma cancer.
You can get involved and donate to Landon’s race for the cure at Miles2Give.org and follow his progress running 21 miles per day over the next 150 days straight, beginning February 14.
We’re thrilled that Landon can join us Tuesday, February 12 at our Cariloha Pier 39 store and are looking forward to his visit and run across the USA. Go Landon!
