At Cariloha, we’re obsessed with one thing: making the best bedding, bath, and apparel on the planet — for you and the planet. Luxury and sustainability aren’t a trade-off. They’re the whole point.
Why Cariloha Bamboo
Bamboo is nature showing off. It’s one of the most renewable resources on Earth, and it works overtime — strengthening soil, cleaning air, and outperforming just about everything else growing out there.
It’s also just better fabric. Bamboo is twice as soft and 3 degrees cooler than cotton, full stop. No pesticides, no harsh chemicals, no shortcuts — just a plant doing what it does best.
And bamboo doesn’t ask for much. It’s rain-fed (no irrigation needed), it regenerates on its own (no reseeding), and it pulls more carbon out of the air than an equivalent stand of trees. Some species grow up to 3 feet a day. Let that sink in.
Green by Design, Not by Accident
Our approach to sustainability starts with the plant itself. Because bamboo grows so efficiently and sequesters carbon so effectively, our footprint starts smaller than most brands’ ever could — before we even get to packaging, sourcing, or how a product is made.
That’s why sustainability runs through everything we do: planet-friendly packaging, our Bamboo Renew Program (upcycling and recycling fabrics), and a fabric that’s doing real work for the environment from the moment it’s planted. Bamboo makes our starting line better than most companies’ finish line — and we’re still pushing to do more.
Caring for the Coasts We Call Home
Most Cariloha showrooms sit on coastlines and beachfronts, which means we see firsthand how much our oceans do for this planet. The ocean produces 50% of the world’s oxygen and stores 50 times more carbon dioxide than the atmosphere. It also moves heat from the equator to the poles, regulating climate and weather patterns worldwide. Basically, if you like breathing and having a livable climate, thank the ocean.
Protecting that matters to us. You can pitch in too — join a coastal clean-up near you through your local community, or check with your nearest beachfront Cariloha showroom for their next clean-up date.
Even a beach stroll with a trash bag in hand adds up. Big or small, it all makes a difference.
